Yes, the role of the mesmer is to sit back, make others feel as though they have killed the boss, because your damage is invisible... but you can still have the inner satisfaction of knowing that you are the biggest boss FU*K around!

I saw a couple ppl spamming "LFG to cap Triple Chop", so since I knew exactly where it was I led them out to Wing. 2 Warriors, Me(heal monk), Rt Hench, Heal Hench.

They barely put a dent in him. It's an even better idea these days for a Warrior to bring some sort of interrupt.

They are definately tougher, it took me like 10 min to solo Wing with my Warrior. It got to the point where I was counting to 4 and hit Disrupting Chop to pre-empt his Heal Sig.

Yeah, they are bosses and should be difficult, they are already, they have a higher lvl, resulting in more health and better attributes than any player can achieve. When they are around a mob, what the usual circumstance is, they are more difficult than the standard mob.

On the other hand, I'm a Choosen Hero, I'm a boss on my own. Why don't I have that nice goodies.

it's simply unfair that bosses are buffed up, if A.Net wants to make it more difficult, give them a greater mob, but don't favor them with unfair advantages.
LOL?

Maybe you should weigh up their advantages against the fact that you ACTUALLY HAVE A BRAIN?

Talking about the PvE monsters having unfair advantages... Christ.

Overall it makes things a bit more interesting but I think it breaks the game in a few places. One place in particular I'm thinking of is that group in the south part of the Skyway, just north of that bridge, with the ritualist boss. I take a party of henchmen out there and with zero DP half of them die instantly at the start of battle. That does not make for a fun fight.

Uh, they have very good scripting, which allows them to use math to determine dmg given vs dmg taken. And they will run u into another mob in order for u to aggro that one to make life a living hell. Bosses and mobs are far smarter now, so, I wouldn't underestimate that whole humans have a brain thing, because in a sense, monsters do to now.... just not the whole creativity thing, but math is quite good for games like this also.

Default Damage

I dont think this is entirely acurate. I see even -NON- bosses doing crazy damage, for instance, from a jade brotherhood mage, 120 damage from Dragon stomp to the entire party VS my AL 90, and when you mouse over as they're casting it says 83 damage... and I didnt see anything about it ignoring armor either... Also this damage is not consistant, killed orosen (THe rit boss) Several times, and many times he'd do normal damage, but some times when I'd run on that map he would hit me for 350+ damage chanel spikes and stuff like that... This seems more like a bug than anything but since the "double damage from bosses" was never officially stated or denied by A.net we are all just in the dark in this matter.

If we have a level cap, they should also.

some are totally crazy, like the afflicted ele boss that spikes you with mind burn, lightning orb, and lava arrows all in one motion o.O

i like it tho. makes bosses a bit more fun to face.

It's not a boss, but the shin'roken elementalists in Raisu palace can be pretty insane if people focus fire on it. Silver armor can do at least 3 53 damage hits per second if you get too close to them. Also, the jade brotherhood mages seem to spike damage, as they once managed to take out 5 of my henchmen simultaneously.
Overall PvE enemy elementalists became a huge annoyance in factions

I hate that guy. I've been spiked by him from full to dead many a time. Mind burn for 212 damage is a beating.

this was on the 20 w/mo i finished Prophecies w/, btw...i'd hate to run into him or the lvl 14 warrior boss w/o a decent team w/ me if i was on a new char...

The Afflicted Guard. I'm ward camping with the henchies, he uses auspicious blow, hits me for 238 (60 AL) and then promptly dies, dealing another 208 damage. Instagib!

So.... what use is Wastrels Worry now?

Sounds like a nice idea, bosses doing double damage. But wouldn't that make Backfire + (factions version of Alesia) henchman = Dead oh so quickly? I mean 294 damage spell is surely just a bit overkill?

Does sound like its gonna be really biased towards Ele and Warrior bosses though... Surely a double damage Double Dragon is instant death for an assassin? The likelyhood that you can actually stand up after you've been hit by Backbreaker seems unlikely, that skill normally spells doom anyway, never mind doing double damage with it and follow ups :S

As avarre said, the bosses are now very large, boisterous, glass cannons. Easily destroyed by the right skills but capable of whiping the floor with the unprepared. A welcomed change, might actually make bosses... bosses now.

I don't mind the bosses, except ritualist bosses... I absolutely hate them. They can buff their team, heal their team (also rez), and hurt our team all in 1 class... Everytime my party meet a ritualist boss, it was always hard fought battles.
